Nook vs. kindle special offers?

I internally cracked my pandigital (waste of money) and the defect isn't covered on the warranty. So I'm trying to decide if I should invest my money in a kindle special offers or a nook. Please give me your personal preferance of either one or experiences. Any ideas for my pandigital?(ways to make money off of it)
